Ode to the Pregnant Mother: A Giveaway!!!

OdePregnantMotherlast week i received this beautiful Chelsea Perkins Ode to the Pregnant Mother painting from a doula client. I fell in love with it instantly.

I’m happy to officially announce the giveaway  for this painting.  I can assure you it looks beautiful framed.

So who should enter this contest? Hmmm well let ‘s see:

anyone who is a birth worker looking for something sweet  to hang in their office or home.

anyone who is looking for the perfect baby shower gift.

any woman who is pregnant now and wants to commemorate their pregnancy.

any woman who has ever been pregnant, ever.

and, hello, mother’s day is right around the corner…

so the answer is all of you .

all of you should be entering to win this free, gorgeous 9 x 12 painting.

either for yourself or as a gift to someone dear. heck, maybe even give it to your doula or midwife ;-)

In addition, I’d like to add that Chelsea makes beautiful animal inspired paintings. To me, they seem like perfect nursery/kids room material or could be found on a hipster mantle or bathroom somewhere. pretty much the perfect combo, right?

you can find examples on her facebook page and etsy or send in a request for a custom animal print – in case you’re really into jackalopes.

Ms. Perkins is generously extending a 25% discount to my readers with the MOMJEANZ code on etsy. So if you can’t stand the chances of not winning this print you can custom order one for yourself or your favorite pregnant lady. While you’re in there ordering your ode to a pregnant mother painting go ahead and submit a request for that jackalope for junior’s room. it’s too good to pass up. I’ll be posting a button over on the side bar for easy etsy access.

So here’s how to enter:

1. Leave a comment below telling me who you’d be giving this to and why {and mommas it’s completely ok to say yourself. you’ve earned it by carrying a human inside you}

I hope to see a lot of comments coming in for this beautiful print. And I hope you’ll send some sweet support Chelsea’s way with her lovely original paintings on etsy.

best of luck! winner will be announced next week.

{ps. please like Chelsea Perkins Art and Momjeanz on facers if you haven’t already.}

  1. This is so lovely. I feel like it’s bad luck to be the first commenter on a Giveaway but here goes. I’d be so glad to have this print on the wall of my little home office & daydream space to celebrate my own pregnancies as well as the pregnancies of all the mamas I work with. Thanks Elaine & Chelsea–what a great giveaway!

  2. the painting is gorgeous! i’m entering for myself…at 39 weeks (+ a couple days), i’m starting to feel rather large and ungainly and this is a good reminder of how beautiful i and other pregnant women are!

  3. What a gorgeous print! I would love to win it and I would totally keep it for myself. Thanks for highlighting this local artist though. I can definitely see myself picking up these prints in the future for other mamas I know!

    :)

  4. Wow, I love this painting so much! I am a mother to my 20 month old son and I am also a birth and postpartum doula. I would love this painting to keep in my home, hanging on the wall with the our photographs and works of art that my son has made, as a symbol of this work in my life that is so important. I don’t have any birth or pregnancy art yet and I would love to. We are about to try to get my wife pregnant with our second child, and this is something that I would love to give to her as a gift as well. I will also keep this in mind for the future as a gift for our midwife. Beautiful, beautiful work!

  5. Beautiful piece of art! I’d gift it to my midwife, Sarah, whom delivered my second son during my natural VBAC. She was a godsend during my delivery and continues to be a lovely person and friend that I look forward to seeing. <3

  6. This is so beautiful. If I did win, and didn’t fall in love with it and keep it for myself :), I would most definitely gift it to my amazing midwives. Thank you for the giveaway and for introducing me to this amazing artist! xo

  7. As a midwife, I would give this to the other midwife I work with as a farewell gift. Chelsea is an amazing artist!

  8. I’m not certain yet if I’d keep it for myself (as it’s lovely), or give to the next close friend that becomes pregnant!

  9. I would love this for myself. Being pregnant and going through labor and birth has been a changing point in my life. I have never felt so strong and empowered, and I look forward to the experience again. I also love to share my love of the miracle of the female body, and this painting exemplifies that beauty.

  10. As a student midwife who just gave birth to my third sprite two weeks ago, I would love this for myself! It would commemorate for me both the pregnancy and my first year of school, which overlapped almost exactly!
