Acute Nostalgia

Today I’ve been consumed with nostalgia for reasons I can’t quite pinpoint. Maybe it’s cabin fever or maybe it’s Darla’s turning two. Maybe it’s the new birth control. Maybe it’s global warming. Who knows. I took this when Darla was about 5 months old and I’m really missing everything in this photo. Our beautiful apartment in DC. The rolls and dimples of a little baby girl. Early summer sunshine. Sigh. But there are definitely some advantages to having a two year old over an infant. The first one being the entertainment factor. Here’s some pics we took of Darla at home and at one of our favorite kiddie hangouts. It is moments like these that assure me we’ve done at least some things right. I don’t just love her. I like her.
